Our first road trip of 2018! The decision to come here wasn’t hard at all – a “Pink Palace” located right on the beach sounded like Paradise, especially being only 7 hours away from Atlanta (where we live). As soon as we crossed the bridge into St. Petersburg, we could spot The Don CeSar Hotel from miles away. And we arrived to perfect weather, and couldn’t wait to explore the resort.
📍: 3400 Gulf Blvd, St Pete Beach, FL 33706
As soon as we pulled up, we are greeted by massive palm trees and their grand entrance way. It was even more beautiful than we imagined. We didn’t have a long stay in St. Petersburg so we arrived early in the morning so that we could make the most of our trip. As we expected, it was a bit too early because our hotel room wasn’t ready for us to check into, so we left some of or things with the hotel staff. The hotel staff were super friendly and very patient with us as we had to go back and forth to our car a few times to grab stuff.
There is an indoor bar and a few restaurants on-site. The concierge desk which is in the front near the “Hotel Check-in” is where we asked about other restaurants in town. The main stairway led downstairs to the doors leading to the pool area, along with a bunch of shops on the lower level.
Since we got to The Don CeSar a few hours before our room was ready, we threw on our bikinis and headed for the beach! The sand was literally like white sugar and felt like powder between our toes. They offer lounge chairs and cabanas with food/drink service, it can’t get any better!
The lounge chairs can get filled up so we’re happy we got there early enough to grab some and relax after so many hours of being in the car. The water at the beach was pretty chilly so we didn’t go in, but it was pretty hot outside so to cool us down we hopped on over to the pool! 💦
The hotel has two pools, a jacuzzi, and their The Beachcomber Bar in between. The food was just okay but the drinks were delicious! Who doesn’t love cocktails by the pool!?🍹
Even though you can’t really tell from our photos, there were a good amount of guests staying at the resort. St. Petersburg really is the perfect destination for all-year round!
Besides the pool and beach, The Don CeSar also offers free bicycles to ride for a few hours. The bikes were located on the lower level and all we had to do was ask the concierge for the keys to unlock them. They were super cute!! White with their pink logo on the front. 💕 We’re so happy they have these bikes as an amenity because we love riding bikes wherever we go! We believe taking a bike ride is the perfect way to explore a new city. 🚲🗺
Another sweet spot located in The Don CeSar, is Uncle Andy’s Ice Cream Parlor.🍦 This ice cream parlor has homemade ice-cream with an old fashioned theme! They offer more than just ice cream though, they have cookies, pastries, bagels and even Starbucks Coffee!
They have so many different flavors to choose from! Nikki decided on the strawberry cheesecake 🍓, while Kristina got the mint chocolate chip in a hand dipped chocolate cone. 🍫Yum! This was a nice treat after being out in the Florida sun all day!
Our room was right off the main lobby to the right side and we had a waterfront view. We didn’t get the best photo from our room because as soon as we got in, our stuff was everywhere! #girlstrip This make us want to come back soon to The Don CeSar because we want to share EVERYTHING about this amazing resort with everyone! This is definitely our #1 place to go to for a Girls’ Getaway!
Lastly, we want to mention that we found this pretty Pink Palace on Fashion and Travel Blogger, @kiermellour’s instagram! Follow her for some serious #barbievibes 🌸👉🏼 here
