If you’ve been following along with us on Instagram, [@trippingwithmybff], you’ll know that we have a newfound obsession with CorePower Yoga! For the past few months, we’ve been apart of the CPY community and love practicing yoga at their studios.
We made our first impression video at CorePower Yoga during our free week!

Before we did our first week, we’d never done any hot yoga so we were entirely new to it and weren’t sure of what to expect. We did know that there was going to be a lot of sweating and a lot of stretching. Come to find out, it’s an amazing exercise and a great way to focus on how the body feels instead of just trying to give yourself a painful workout.
One cool aspect about CorePower Yoga is that they’re available in so many different locations across the United States! There are about 5 locations here in Atlanta. We usually go to the ones in Ponce City Market, Midtown and Buckhead. So if you are looking for a location nearby, you can find one closest to you.
Something else that we love about CorePower Yoga is that they do make you feel like they’re you’re a part of their community! Whether you’re a beginner or you’ve been doing yoga for many years, there are ways to get the most out of each class. The teachers really take the time to adjust and help you grow in your practice.
One of our favorite classes that they offer is Hot Power Fusion (HPF), which is a sequence of different standing and sitting poses that help you sweat it all out. The studio is at the highest temperature, usually around 100+ degrees with added humidity too. It’s their hottest class!🔥 You’re testing your balance as well as maintaining control of your focus and making sure that you can free your mind from wanting to give up or from falling over. It takes a lot of persistence and mental balance.🧘🏼♀️
Another favorite class of ours is Yoga Sculpt, a unique class that combines free weights with yoga poses. We recommend starting off with 3 to 5 lbs. Often when working out at the gym, we could go up to 10+ pounds, but the movements are so fluid in Yoga that you don’t want to do something that you really can’t handle. The class goes through moments of cardio, and a full body workout that is excellent at increasing metabolism and muscle tone as well as lengthening and stretching your body out!💪🏼
The one and only downside that we can see about CorePower Yoga, would definitely be the pricing. It is expensive especially if you’re not going to yoga 4 times a week! Our schedules are super busy and since we do travel, we think it’s better for someone that has a more flexible schedule or structured enough to be able to fit in an hour to your schedule and enhance your current lifestyle.
Other than pricing, there are so many benefits that come from yoga that make positive changes to the body.We believe that yoga is a great way to strengthen and train your muscles because you’re using your body weight, which is so hard to do if you’re not used to using all of your muscles. Whereas with weight training your isolating one muscle or one muscle group. Because with yoga you’re using your arms, core, legs, and your aiming to keep everything tight and make sure everything is held in place. So it is a great all-around workout!
So if you’re looking to get into yoga and you want to try out a free week, then we totally recommend trying out CorePower Yoga! You’re not only going to get an amazing workout, but you’re going to feel amazing mentally as well. If you want to check out our first impression check out our YouTube video here:👇🏼

Great review on core power ladies! You guys were spot on. Great workout but a bit pricey. I did my free week and I think I’m going to try it for one month and see if I can justify the cost on top of my gym membership.
