Lobby

At check in we got the best welcome with colorful leis and more “Aloha!’s”, which truly made it feel like we were visiting Hawaii!🌺 We instantly fell in love with the decor! Everything from the gorgeous landscape (that reminded us of the rice fields in Bali!), tropical plants, and all the colorful orchids decorated throughout. Soon the lobby will be going through renovations, and we can’t wait to come back and check out the updates!

On the other side of the lobby is where you’ll find the concierge where you can get any information you might need about the resort. Across from the concierge is the car rental if you plan to go outside of the theme parks, and most importantly, you’ll want to come to the vacation planning desk to plan out your trip and purchase tickets to the Universal Studios theme parks. 🎢🎟

Tip: A benefit of staying at Royal Pacific Resort is that each room key is automatically linked with Express passes to use on the rides at Universal Studios. This saves your family $79 per person! What’s a better theme park experience than getting to skip all the lines?!

Also on the main level is their tranquil and peaceful outdoor courtyard complete with an elephant fountain!🐘🎋 It’s definitely a great spot to hang out in the sun and enjoy the gentle sounds of the water.

Before we even stepped foot into our room, we became obsessed with the colorful floral designs on the carpet leading to the rooms. It’s bright coral colors brings such vibrant energy to the hotel! 🌺✨

Room

Our room had two queen beds and the room itself was very spacious! The first thing we noticed in the room was the enormous violet floral design behind the headboard!🤩🌺 In between the beds are round modern lanterns that act as the main source of lighting in the room. We also had a large window to bring in natural light, with an amazing view of the pool area. We love that the room is the perfect mix of tropical with luxury finishes, it’s not cheesy or overdone at all!

Views From the Room

In the closet there are Loews branded robes, an iron and ironing board, a safe for your valuables, and on top of the shelf is where you’ll find extra blankets. And right under the TV, is where you’re going to find storage for your belongings, the fridge, and coffee maker! ☕️

Loews Royal Pacific Resort is pet-friendly, so you don’t have to leave any family members at home!🐶 There is a $100 pet fee. These rooms are usually on the lower level so if you’re not interested in staying in a hallway where you’ll hear barking, we recommend letting them know at check-in so that they can accommodate you.

The bathroom had plenty of space for both of us to get ready every morning. We love that the bathrooms are modern, bright, and clean! There’s a standup shower with a glass door, but they also have rooms available for guests that require a bathtub or handicap accessibility.

We ordered room service for breakfast one morning, and we loved that the food choices all had a tropical twist to them! We had to get the Hawaiian Pancakes, which were pancakes made with macadamia nuts and topped with pineapples, toasted coconut, and maple syrup.🥞🍍😋 They were the most delicious pancakes we’ve ever had, seriously! We also ordered the Pacifica Fruit Platter that had an array of tropical fruits like pineapple, berries, banana nut bread, with greek yogurt and a variety of toasts. It was the perfect way to start our day!

If you’re like us and love a good stir-fry, you have to try The Wok Experience! The Wok Experience is an all-you-care-to-eat special that is only available on Friday and Saturday nights. How can you pass that up!?

Along with our Wok Experience we decided to try a few other dishes off their menu! It’s really helpful that on their menu they have symbols for dishes that are dairy free, nut free, and of course spice levels! We got the Beef Satay to start and we split the Shrimp Pad Thai and Red Curry Chicken. Our server informed us that you can substitute almost anything on their menu so we ended up substituting the chicken for tofu and it was delicious! For dessert they have things like a Jumbo Pineapple Doughnut and Pineapple-Coconut Candied Ginger Flan, but our suggestion is to try their homemade coconut ice cream off the kids menu. 🍨😋

From the private beach, take a little walk over to explore the nearby resorts and to CityWalk or the Universal theme parks!

Pacifica Ballroom

For those that need to hold a special event, the Pacifica Ballroom is a gorgeous destination for a wedding, party, or any corporate event. We love the Balinese umbrellas and pops of color!

Fitness Center

Hours: 5am-10pm

Just because you’re on vacation doesn’t mean you have to fall out of routine! The fitness center is filled with cardio machines, free weights, and state of the art exercise equipment. We love that the tropical theming continues even in the gym!🌺💪🏼

Inside of the locker room you’ll find a place to hold your personal items, a private hot tub to soak in, showers, steam room, and a sauna to detox the mind and the body.🧖🏼‍♀️

Ways to Get to the Parks

One of the few perks of staying on-site at a Universal resort is the easy-access to the theme parks and Universal’s CityWalk!

Garden Walkway

Take a scenic walk on the Garden Walkway through lush greenery and tropical flowers to get to the parks! It takes about 5-8 minutes from Loews Royal Pacific and you’ll end up on the entrance side by Jimmy Buffet’s Margaritaville and Universal’s Islands of Adventure.

Shuttle Bus

Right outside of the Pacifica Ballroom you can catch a ride on the complimentary Shuttle Bus that will drop you off at Universal’s CityWalk!

Water Taxi

Our favorite way to get to the theme parks and Universal’s CityWalk is by taking the water taxi. The water taxi runs every 15 minutes until 2:30am and offers a breezy scenic ride on the waterway!

Benefits of Staying at Loews Royal Pacific Resort

  • Early Park Admission – If you’re looking to get a head start before the crowds, enjoy early access to Universal Studios or Universal’s Island of Adventure 1 hour prior to the regularly scheduled park opening.
  • Express Pass is Included – One of the biggest perks of staying at Loews Royal Pacific Resort is that each room key is automatically linked with express passes for the entire family to use on most rides at Universal Studios Florida and Universal’s Islands of Adventure!
  • Complimentary Transportation to the Theme Parks & CityWalk – It only takes a matter of minutes to get you from the hotel to the adventure at the Universal theme parks with their complimentary water taxi, shuttle bus, and walking paths.
  • Priority Seating at Restaurants – Skip the wait at most of the restaurants at Universal’s CityWalk! Just show your Royal Pacific room key to the hostess and you’ll be at your seat in no time!
  • Pay with Your Room Key – Don’t worry about bringing too much with you to the parks, simply just use your room key to make purchases while you’re out!
  • Shopping Made Simple – Get your merchandise from the parks delivered right to your hotel from most of the shops across Universal and CityWalk so you don’t have to lug it around with you!

Pros

  • The tropical decor!😍 Loews Royal Pacific really makes you feel as if you’ve been transported to an island oasis!
  • Although the hotel is older, Loews Royal Pacific does the Polynesian theme beautifully! Soon renovations will take place to bring the hotel up-to-date, and we can’t wait to check it out!
  • Friendly staff! We loved being greeted with an Aloha! and colorful leis!🌺

Cons

  • Pricey – Of the 6 Universal Orlando on-site resorts, this resort isn’t the most affordable but can definitely be worth it because of its amenities and perks!
  • Hard to navigate – There aren’t clear signs that point to the pool, water taxi, etc. So if staff isn’t available to help it can be kind of confusing getting around the resort!

If you’re looking to get away and want to feel like you’re in true South Seas paradise, we would definitely recommend staying at Loews Royal Pacific Resort! Royal Pacific is considered one of the premiere resorts on-site at Universal so you’re going get a more luxurious experience with your stay, along with amazing amenities, and an extraordinary atmosphere! As we mentioned, it is a little pricier than Universal’s Aventura Hotel or Cabana Bay Beach Resort but is definitely worth it! We can’t get over the beauty and island vibes. Truly, there’s nothing like a tropical escape to Loews Royal Pacific! 🌺
