Tulum has quickly become one of the hottest travel destinations thanks to its luxury beach clubs, pristine beaches, distinctive restaurant scene and of course, Instagram!📸 The beautiful scenery, ancient ruins, cenotes, and jungle vibes all make for the most beautiful photo ops!🌴🌿💦 There are endless photo opportunities in Tulum but that’s why we’ve narrowed it down for you to our top fave Instagram spots!

Azulik Tulum

Azulik is probably one of the most Instgrammed places in the world, the photo ops here alone are endless! Enjoy sunset in a giant nest above the treetops overlooking the Caribbean sea on one side and the Mayan jungle on the other with their Sunset Experience! For $55 usd/per person you can watch the sunset in a nest and dance the night away to their Dj spinning beats! (1 alcoholic drink and lite bites are included too!) With it’s jungle vibes and breathtaking views of the Caribbean Coast it’ll feel like you’re living in a real-life fairytale!🤩

Tulum Sign

📍Near the Tulum Ruins

We found this cute Tulum sign right on the side of the road, and it has swings inside of the “U’s”, how fun!😍 Unfortunately, I couldn’t get the name of the place but there was a sign out front that said ‘Cervecería’ so I think it might be the Tulum Cervecería.🍻 The easiest way to find it is to put ‘Caleta Tankah’ in your GPS, it’s pretty much across the highway (Highway 307)! Totally worth stopping by for a pic!📸

Raw Love

If Raw Love Cafe wasn’t Instagrammable enough before with it’s dreamy smoothie bowls and colorful hammocks, it definitely is now with this massive wooden sculpture out front!😍 If you didn’t get a pic here did you even really visit Tulum?!🤪

And if you’re lucky and no one’s staying in this jungle casita you can grab a quick pic here on your way out!

Coco Tulum

White sand and turquoise water, that’s what you can expect at Coco Tulum! It’s basically an aesthetically pleasing white Pinterest dream!🤩 Make sure you go to the beach bar for a pic on their swings!🥥

Follow That Dream Sign

Life’s too short to not follow your dreams!🤍🙌🏼 So grab a bicycle or rent an ATV and get your Insta-worthy pic at the Follow That Dream sign!🌟💫✨ This popular sign can be found at Lolita & Lolita Boutique, and the easiest way to find it is by putting in Sueños Tulum hotel in your GPS (it’s directly across the street). 

Tulum Ruins

The Tulum Ruins is one of the most iconic landmarks in the Yucatan Peninsula and is one attraction that you don’t want to miss! Not only is it a very well preserved ancient Mayan city, but it’s literally cliffside right on the Caribbean Coast of Mexico making it one of a kind! It’s the perfect mix of beauty and history!🗿🌴🌊✨

Chichén Itzá

📍Yucatan, Mexico (Chichén Itzá should pop up as a destination in your GPS)
Cost: 497 pesos/$25 usd – Mexican Citizens 210 pesos/$10 usd

If you want to check one of the Seven Wonders of World off your bucket list then you’re going to want to make a trip to Chichén Itzá! It’s about a 2hr drive from Tulum but it’s totally worth it for that Instagram pic!🛕✔️ #travelgoals

Cenote Dos Ojos

No trip to Tulum is complete without visiting some cenotes! ‘Dos Ojos’ translates to ‘two eyes’ and it is one of the largest underwater cave systems in the world! Indescribably beautiful blue water and incredible rock formations, it’s no wonder this is one of the most famous cenotes in the world!🤩💦 Whether you’re a pro diver, beginner snorkeler, or just want to go for a cool Instagram pic this is the spot!

We stumbled upon Kanan Tulum because Vagalume was closed and we were so happy we did! This luxury resort is absolutely gorgeous with photo-ops everywhere you turn! As soon as we walked in we both looked at each other and said this place reminds us of Azulik, just without the crowds! Dinner in your own private nest high up in the sky? Yes please!😍🙌🏼

Just when you thought Azulik couldn’t get any more Instagrammable, it did. Azulik opened an art center, called Uh May, which is a beautiful combination of art, nature, and technology. The exhibit is located in the heart of the Mayan jungle, 25km northeast of Tulum, approximately 30 minutes from the Tulum city center. It’s the ideal place to get those dreamy Instagram pics!🤩🌿💫

I’d highly recommend RosaNegra for any special occasion or group dinner! This place is not only super Instagrammable, but it’s SO MUCH FUN!💃🏼🎉 At the end of the night it quickly turns from a restaurant into a club. Definitely a must when in Tulum!

Tulum Town

Right outside of the entrance to the Tulum Ruins is where you can find all sorts of little shops with hammocks, colorful blankets and beautiful dreamcatchers hanging from the trees that make for the perfect photo op! If you’re lucky you can even find a colorful umbrella sky to pose under!☂️🌈

Crooked Palm Tree

The original infamous ‘Crooked Palm Tree’ of Tulum was gone during our visit this time. But luckily we found another, smaller, crooked palm tree close by that was perfect for taking that Insta-worthy shot!🌴 You can find this crooked palm tree right on the beach of El Paraíso Hotel, at Playa Paraíso.

Nômade Tulum

You can find Macondo restaurant located at the dreamy Nômade Hotel. With its colorful bohemian stylish interior, Moroccan-inspired rugs, low tables and pretty pillow cushions this restaurant is super Instagrammable!😍🌿💫

This contemporary French Mediterranean restaurant has many locations all over the world, now including Tulum! It just opened this past December 2020, bringing all the charm of the French Riviera to the bohemian atmosphere of Tulum. You’re definitely gonna want to add this new hot spot to your Tulum itinerary!🤩🥂🇫🇷

Grand Cenote

Another one of my favorite cenotes in Tulum is the Grand Cenote! An underground cave surrounded by crystal clear water and Mexico’s nnatural beauty. There’s plenty of photo ops here!🤩💦

Cenote Calavera

Just a few minutes down the road from the Grand Cenote is Cenote Calavera, which makes it really easy to do both in one day! This cenote is definitely not like the others, it’s unique and a little bit scary but you gotta “do it for the ‘gram”, right?📸🙌🏼

Cenote Casa Tortuga

Casa Tortuga was a recommendation from our taxi driver and we’re so happy we listened! It’s one of the most beautiful cenotes, all out in the open, the most beautiful blue water with turquoise patches, and multiple platforms that you can jump off into the water!🌴💦 They also play really good music and have a bar. It was so much fun, it felt like we were at a club! Highly recommend!
