Things to know before you visit San Andrés Island 🏝🇨🇴 SAVE FOR LATER ✨

▫️San Andrés Island is a Colombian territory but is actually located in the Caribbean Sea closer to Nicaragua 🇳🇮
▫️It’s a 1.5 hr flight from Cartagena & a little less than 2 hrs from Medellin ✈️
▫️You will not be allowed to fly to SAI unless you have a return flight already booked (you have to show proof of this before you fly)
▫️All visitors have to purchase a tourist ticket (in addition to your flight ticket) at the gate before boarding — Cost is 118,500 pesos or about $30 USD + you can pay with cash or card

▫️La isla de San Andrés es un territorio colombiano pero en realidad se encuentra en el Mar Caribe más cerca de Nicaragua 🇳🇮
▫️Es un vuelo de 1.5 hrs desde Cartagena y un poco menos de 2 hrs desde Medellín ✈️
▫️No se le permitirá volar a SAI a menos que ya haya reservado un vuelo de regreso (debe mostrar prueba de esto antes de volar)
▫️Todos los visitantes deben comprar un boleto turístico además de su boleto de avión en la puerta antes de abordar. El costo es de 118,500 pesos o alrededor de $30 USD (puede pagar en efectivo o con tarjeta)

Best restaurant in San Andres Island @laregatta 🤤🇨🇴

This restaurant was hands down the best food I had on my trip to SAI — some highlights of the restaurant👇🏼

▫️Waterfront dining 🌊
▫️Over the top decorations, so colorful & fun 🌈
▫️Caribbean cuisine 🐟
▫️Fresh seafood made with local ingredients 🍤
▫️Vegeterian menu 🌱

tip: if you’re planning to dine here make sure to make a reservation ahead of time, it’s always busy (even for lunch)

Definitely a must if you’re visiting the island!🏝
